Hi! I’m Dr. Naomi Iguchi.
The Nervous System Whisperer
I’m thrilled you’re here!
I’ve been a licensed clinical psychologist in Richmond, VA for over 15 years. I’m also a registered yoga teacher, lifelong-dreamer and neuroscience-nerd who’s passionate about helping you break free from the cycle of stress and anxiety to live a vibrant life of true peace and joy.

To do this, I now specialize in Neurofeedback – a non-invasive, neuroscience-backed method meant to get to the root of your struggles and bring calm and clarity back into your life.
Just like many of you, I once bought into the myth that being a “Superwoman” meant doing it all and achieving more and more (and don’t forget to do it with a Smile!).
But I’ve learned that true strength and happiness come from within, not from ticking off endless to-do lists or trying to be everything to everyone.
Of course, this is an easy – and cheesy – thing to say.
The not-so-easy part is: How??
That’s where Neurofeedback comes in.
In my work as a psychologist, I spent over 20,000 hours working with clients, using traditional therapies and psychological testing that only seemed to scratch the surface. I felt disillusioned and knew there had to be a better way to truly help people.
Then, everything changed.
Through my own journey of recovering from trauma and a lifetime of chronic anxiety, I discovered the incredible impact of regulating a dysregulated nervous system with Neurofeedback.
Through Neurofeedback, I was able to bring flexibility and resilience to my nervous system. I was no longer white-knuckling-it through the day and collapsing with exhaustion at night – but still unable to sleep well – just to get up and try to hold it together again for another day.
Now, I no longer experience nightmares or intense emotional reactions to minor issues (or loud noises!). Instead, I’m present, focused and ready to experience each little joy that finds me throughout the day – as well as handle the unavoidable stresses of life with calm and flexibility.
As a Board-Certified Neurofeedback practitioner, I’ve opened my own clinic and provide Neurofeedback therapy in Richmond, VA.
Whether you’re struggling with:
- Trauma
- ADHD
- Addiction
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Mood swings
- GI tract issues + IBS
- PTSD
- Sleep and insomnia
- Stress and burnout
- Poor mental health
- Chronic Migraines
… Neurofeedback can help get to the root of your symptoms and retrain your brain into more efficient patterns so you can stop simply surviving and start THRIVING.
My Mission
I believe that anything is possible and that we all have the power to change—whether it’s our perspective, behavior, or even our brain and nervous system.
Each of us has something unique and valuable to share with the world, and embracing our individuality is what makes life rich and fulfilling.
In fact, this is my vision – a world where everyone feels calm and peaceful in their own skin, being their authentic selves.
I believe you truly can take on anything that comes your way when you’ve shed the *totally unnecessary* burden of anxious thoughts, depression, sleepless nights, hypervigilance and flashbacks due to trauma, brain fog, constant fatigue, chronic pain, GI symptoms or chronic stress.
You’re doing the absolute best you can with one hand tied behind your back – just imagine what you could do if you were free.
That’s why I created my Embodied Neurofeedback program, offered in Richmond, VA.
This unique approach integrates three powerful methods: Neurofeedback for your brain, somatic techniques for your body, as well as targeted strategies to regulate your nervous system. Together, these transform the root causes of stress, exhaustion, and emotional burnout.
No more “quick fixes” and temporary solutions – only real, lasting change.
If you’re ready to transform your nervous system and experience profound improvements in your mental and physical well-being, I’d love to work with you.
